Professional support for individuals seeking recovery from substance use

Mindscape Serenity provides outpatient substance use treatment for individuals who are seeking professional support to reduce or stop substance use while continuing to live at home and maintain their daily responsibilities.

Our approach combines counselling, psychoeducation, recovery planning and appropriate medical support to address the psychological, behavioural and physical aspects of substance use.

What the Programme Includes

Initial Assessment
We begin with a comprehensive assessment to understand the individual’s substance use, personal circumstances, emotional wellbeing, support system and treatment needs.

Medical Assessment and Support
A qualified medical professional is involved where medical assessment, monitoring or intervention is required. This helps ensure that physical health and safety are considered as part of the treatment process.

Detoxification Support
Where detoxification is clinically indicated, it is undertaken with appropriate medical assessment and supervision. The need for detoxification and the appropriate level of care are determined on an individual basis.

Individual Counselling
Individual counselling provides a confidential space to explore substance use, contributing factors, emotional challenges, behavioural patterns and healthier ways of coping.

Psychoeducation
Clients receive practical information about substance use, dependence, triggers, cravings, coping strategies, mental wellbeing and the recovery process.

Relapse Prevention
Clients are supported to identify triggers and high-risk situations and develop practical strategies for managing cravings and maintaining their recovery.

Family Support
Where appropriate and with the client’s consent, family members or significant others may be involved to strengthen understanding, communication and support during treatment.

Recovery Planning and Follow-Up
Each client is supported to develop an individual recovery plan, with follow-up sessions to monitor progress, address challenges and support continued recovery.

Who Is the Programme For?

Outpatient treatment may be suitable for individuals who:

  • Are concerned about their substance use and want to make a change.
  • Want professional support while continuing with their everyday responsibilities.
  • Are willing to participate actively in their treatment and recovery.
  • Would benefit from structured counselling and ongoing professional support.
  • Have been assessed as suitable for outpatient care.

Outpatient treatment is not appropriate for everyone. Where an individual’s medical, psychological or safety needs require a higher level of care, referral to an appropriate specialised or medical facility may be recommended.

A Confidential and Individualised Approach

Every individual’s experience with substance use is different. At Mindscape Serenity, treatment is therefore guided by individual assessment and personal needs rather than a one-size-fits-all approach.

We provide a respectful and confidential environment where individuals can understand their substance use, address underlying challenges and develop healthier patterns that support long-term recovery.
